Account Manager

Location: Rancho Cucamonga


Job Summary


The Account Manager is responsible for developing long-term relationships with assigned customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and maintains and expands relationships with customers.  The Account Manager communicates between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of services are met and according to customer needs, while also ensuring customer expectations are met.


Essential Functions


  • Manage assigned accounts
  • Develops and executes an account specific business plan to identify the long term, mutual support requirements to facilitate a strong, profitable, and successful partnership (yearly customer visits)
  • Call prospective customers and establish buying cycles, customer needs and create a customer supplier relationship
  • Functions as a sales representative and liaison between customers and Artic Mechanical
  • Handles all after fact quotes; DNE's/NTE's
  • Travels to trade shows on occasions
  • Develops new customer accounts by cold-calling various locations in their territory with company and product literature
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of company's services according to customer needs and objectives
  • Visits and supports customer accounts
  • Performs analysis on customer needs and usage (quarterly)
  • Ascertains current market opportunities
  • Researches and provides customers sales data
  • Establishes systematic customer contact to provide on-going information
  • Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Reviews and provides feedback on customer support programs (IVR usage, cost per invoice, etc.)
  • Identifies customer problems and/or needs, and creates a dynamic action plan designed to meet them
  • Creates and maintains customer or territorial listing noting contact with customer and frequency of calls
  • Meet with service coordinator to review accounts and possible problem areas
  • Participates in RFPs' pertaining to their customers and new potential customers
  • Attend weekly sales meetings
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.


Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications


  • Proven account management or other relevant experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of HVAC industry preferred, but not required
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Some sales experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to operate computer equipment, business equipment and other general office equipment, including telephones and fax machines.
  • Ability to compose original correspondence, write reports, have effective interaction with people, and to communicate ideas and receive and process information from others.
  • Highly detail oriented and organized in work.
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.
